Provided writing and research assistance to professors within the University of South Florida's library and information science department. Duties included copyediting, data gathering and presentation, networking, and assisting in department-wide initiatives.

 
Special Collections Research Assistant
2015-2016

Worked as part of a team to improve the University of South Florida's collection of original Boucicault works and manuscripts. Personally worked to digitize, transcribe, and create introductions to individual plays by the playwright Dion Boucicault. Research on the subject was also being compiled in order to create new articles on Boucicault, his life, and plays.

Provided consultation and tutoring services to students at the University of South Florida's writing center. Provided one-on-one sessions focused on research, grammar and punctuation, formatting, revisions, brainstorming, citations, resume building, student confidence, and ESL work. Visited classrooms and collaborated with professors. Joined the USF ASC social media board and managed the center's Instagram handle.

Aided teachers through the Academica Virtual Education & Somerset Virtual Academy and contacted students to aid with tutoring or assignment submission. Provided online tutoring for the Academica Virtual Education "Academic Help Desk," a program offering individual and group mentorship to participants as well as online classroom support to both teachers and students in Broward County, Florida.
